Adjusting the exposure
Exposure compensation dial
Based on the exposure value set by auto exposure, you can make the entire image brighter or
darker if you adjust [Exposure Comp.] to the plus side or minus side, respectively (exposure
compensation).
Metering Mode
Selects the metering mode that sets which part of the screen to measure for determining the
exposure.
AE lock
When the contrast between the subject and background is high, such as when shooting a
backlit subject or a subject near a window, meter the light at a spot where the subject appears
to have the appropriate brightness and lock the exposure before shooting.
AEL w/ shutter (still image)
Sets whether to fix the exposure when you press the shutter button halfway down.
Exp.comp.set
Sets whether to apply the exposure compensation value to control both flash light and ambient
light, or just ambient light.
Zebra
The zebra pattern will appear over the part of an image if the brightness level exceeds the IRE
that you set.

Sets the guide displayed when exposure settings are changed in the shooting screen.
